Protesters seemed to outnumber supporters at Olympic flag lighting ceremony in Vancouver. In the public viewing area the chants of the protesters drowned out the speakers for most of the ceremony. • Bad accountants executed as China cracks down on corruption

      Posted by SoxFirst

If accountants think the regulators here are tough, spare a thought for beancounter Liu Yibing who has been sentenced to death in China. Amanda Beard Nude Olympic Anti-Fur Protest Shutdown

After watching an appalling video of stray cats and dogs being stuffed into wire cages like sardines, dropped off the side of trucks, and skinned for their fur, it's easy to see why Amanda Beard felt the need to shed light on the situation... hope it reduces the suffering and grim fate of future animals.

Rights groups bemoan lack of Beijing protests

    Communist dictatorship suppresses dissent.

What’s the matter, you thought the Chinese government was nice?

Think of the most oppressive government action you can.

Then check to see if China has done it.

    You’ll find it has.
