  I've been writing since I could hold a crayon to paper. Seriously. I've always written. When I was in high school my bedroom walls were lined with prose and poems that I secretly wanted my parents to read... and desperately hoped that they wouldn't. I've just always written. I must be doing something right, because I've been nominated for the Bloggers Choice Awards in two categories: Hottest Mommy Blogger and the Blogitzer.

Pretty and picturesque Vancouver, which historically had been known for its relatively safer sex trade, had brought home how dangerous and violent the the work had become...

  On Friday, April 20th, 2007, roughly 7,500 people gathered outside of Vancouver's art gallery for one of the most massive cannabis celebrations in the world. People started peppering the lawn and steps of the gallery at around noon, but things didn't really get started until 4:20 p.m. - the international time of day to light up.

- I Served 24 Years In Prison For Murder

  In 1970, at 26 years of age, I was sentenced to life imprisonment. As much as it was a shock to the system it wasn’t entirely unexpected. I had been an active criminal, heavily involved in armed robbery, as well as being a known ‘face’ in the underworld scene. I've come to believe that there exists an elemental force for evil in the world...In my particular case, with hindsight, I can recall a ‘dark force’ or ‘beast’ that drove me towards committing murder.
