      Humanizing The Victims At Last

      Posted by Orato

Simply put, I need a life - my old one to be exact. I miss it. I am often asked how it is going for me, covering this serial killer trial. Here is the answer: I was unable to attend the trial last week for personal reasons, and I found myself missing being in the courtroom...almost needing to be there. I think with my addictive personality, I realized, this is my new drug.

      Sidewalk Etiquette

      Posted by Orato

Yonge Street, Toronto, 8:50 a.m. You’re almost late for class. A block from campus, you skirt around dawdlers and rush past couples with hands linked, hogging the sidewalk. Your chest tightens. Your breath falls short. Your heart races as you curse those who get in your way. If only people were more considerate, you could make it on time...

      Being Marilyn

      Posted by Orato

I’m a hairdresser by day, Marilyn by night and sometimes the other way around. I perform at all kinds of special events and do live shows in casinos, dinner theaters and things of that sort. I think people fell in love with Marilyn because there was something about her that was just very relatable, unlike many other movie stars that were as famous in that era.

One Diplomatic Faux Pas And Two Martinis

      Posted by Orato

I went to hear U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins speak and schmooze at Behind the Spin: Fraser @ OPUS in Vancouver, Canada and caused a diplomatic faux pas when I had a chance to ask the Ambassador if he was aware the vast, huge majority of Canadians "despised the U.S. federal government." In fact, so do most Americans hate the U.S. federal government, and as a point of fact, this is not very scandalous news.

      I'm The Apprentice

      Posted by Orato

Right now everything is a bit overwhelming, but in a fun way. I’m sure as we progress on the golf course development, it will be less of a shock. The big change for me has been going from being a trial attorney to being a project manager for Mr. Trump, which has been kind of a 180-degree flip...

The Angry Planet's Happy Storm Chaser

      Posted by Orato

If all hell is breaking loose, George Kourounis isn't far behind. In fact, he's usually hot on the trail of the world's most destructive natural disasters and storms, as he makes his living on Mother Nature's fury. He is a storm chaser and host of the Outdoor Life Network's Angry Planet. When he's not busy putting himself in a hurricane's path, you may find him climbing an erupting volcano or weathering a tropical storm. But George says a beautiful tornado is the icing on the cake.

      Fresh Bait

      Posted by Orato

I love a good dramatic run into the ocean, Pam-Anderson-Baywatch style. But ever since I watched “Jaws,” I swim out into the ocean and immediately begin to visualize my own legs dangling around beneath the surface, fresh bait for the lurking Great Whites. I never really saw myself as a person who would thrive off aquatic adventures. But wonders never cease.
