The Israeli TV reported on Sunday that one rocket hit a factory and another hit a car. The station's Arab affairs analyst, Ehud Yaari, claimed a splinter Palestinian group in Lebanon was probably behind the attack.

      Posted by theangryindian from Angryindian.blogspot

Ahmed Bahar, Hamas's deputy parliament speaker, said that the militant Islamist group considers that the dismantled Hamas-Fatah coalition headed by Ismail Haniyeh is still the legitimate government until new elections. The stand-off came as factional fighting spread to the West Bank, the larger Palestinian territory which is still controlled by Fatah.

Posted by theangryindian from Turkish Press

Palestinian militants released on Friday the first video of BBC reporter Alan Johnston since he was kidnapped 80 days ago, in which the journalist said he was in good health and being well treated. "First of all, my captors have treated me very well. They've fed me well, there's been no violence towards me at all and I'm in good health," said a pale Johnston, wearing a red sweatshirt and seated before a black backdrop. Lebanon Security Forces Attack Fatah

This headline is misleading. Fatah is commonly used to denote the secular bourgeois-nationalist group founded by Arafat, the largest group in the Palestine Liberation Organization, now engaged in a low level civil war in the Occupied Territories against Hamas. The group attacked by the Lebanese army is (apparently) an Islamic fundamentalist group called Fatah al-Islam.
