UK Indymedia - Indymedia and British Intelligence Services

      Posted by Kaerast

Following the American pattern after 9/11, the UK government has used its own alleged terrorist attacks to push towards a police state. This has involved increasing the funds allocated to 'security services' and granting them extra-judicial powers; the systematic assault on civil liberties and human rights; media-spun fear based on dubious 'terror

      Allegation of sex act languishes

Posted by Billbar from Philadelphia Inquirer

According to sworn statements of two women: An officer in a Fishtown, PA, police station had forced them to put on a sex show in a jail cell, ordering them to expose their breasts and kiss as a price of release. The allegations highlight a persistent but hidden problem in law enforcement: police officers who use their badges to exploit women or extort sex, and departments that fail to vigorously investigate such abuse.

    • Police Station Intimidation

Posted by Billbar from CBS 4

Police departments around the country, like here in Tallahassee, give citizens police complaint forms all the time, no questions asked. But walk into a police station in South Florida, trying to find out how to file a complaint, and watch what happens.

Primetime Lies: How ABC News Cheers Police Brutality / Pierre Tristam [Candide's Notebooks]

they are a corporation and the corporations run this country and own the government. the government gives corporation more and more power. since police are the enforcement arm of government on all levels it is necessary to demonstrate to the population at large the level of violence that can be dealt out to those who run afoul of the police. this will silence many of the voices of protest of those who have had enough of the corporate takeover of the US and the world. and it works! look at any police violence video on a site like YouTube and read the comments. no matter how extreme the police violence or unnecessary in the comments are those who proudly post about their willingness to subjugate and submit to anything a law enforcement officer does. they so sincerely believe that a badge and a gun equate to divine righteousness. what pathetic fools. as Frank Zappa once said, "There’s a difference between kneeling down and bending over."
