    Editorial of Attack

Continued-  Whatever the deal is with the ACORN group and the false voter registrations, it got more coverage than the tricks by the Republicans in every election going back as far as I can remember, including the recent Chicago voter purge of people whose homes were in foreclosure. Or the letters to Democrat districts saying the voting day had been changed or that police checks would be run on voters at the pools. Why is it the media never uses the term right wing radical groups to describe those Republicans doing that stuff nor do they label the McCain supporters who call for the murder of the opposing candidate? Yet left wing radical groups, socialists, and all the other smear terms are used quite freely to describe Democrats and their supporters. To say the Dems are equally as bad as Republicans is like saying bedwetting is the same as capital murder.

    Editorial of Attack

Hi oneohone. Please tell me, when has an O’Bama supporter called McCain a terrorist or a traitor?  When has an O’Bama supporter called for McCain to be beheaded? McCain had the decency to stand up against these things. It’s a fact that politics gets ugly at times, but the republican Party and the right wing talking heads like Rush Limbaugh have changed the landscape from a debate over ideas to personal attacks. I didn’t care for Clinton all that much but had to grudgingly admire him for continuing on despite the incessant attacks by the usual crowd of character assasins. The same crowd even viciously attacked McCain in 2002. They turned John Kerry’s war record and service into a joke. He took the high road and didn’t smack back and it cost him. This poison and ugliness needs to stop. It does nothing but tear us apart. Had Democrat supporters said these things about McCain it would be front page news in every paper in the country.

I agree in part.  McCain’s people have said some very bad things, but Obama’s people have said things just as bad.
