  Will they invade someone for their women...been done before: "China imposed strict population controls in the 1970s to limit growth of its huge population, but one side effect has been a jump in gender selection of babies. Traditional preferences for a son mean some women abort their baby if an early term sonogram shows it is a girl."

- Congratulations, U.S.A.! You're about to pass the 300 million mark

  I'm not sure that congratulations is in order. Population in the U.S. has a direct effect on our quality of life, traffic, urban density, unemployment. I don't think we're investing properly in our infrastructure, energy and clean water needs to manage this growth.

- Come October, Baby Will Make 300 Million or So Americans

  If the experts are right, some time this month, perhaps somewhere in the suburban South or West, a couple, most likely white Anglo-Saxon Protestants or Hispanic, will conceive a baby who, when born in October, will become the 300 millionth American.
