      Is there a greater good to this? Maybe but I find it disgusting. Is this the standard for government that Pelosi and Reid want to show in the Democratic party? It's not an inspiring one. "Despite their campaign talk about earmark reform last fall, the new Democratic leadership shamelessly used pork to buy votes — before the vote, Representatives Collin Peterson of Minnesota and Peter DeFazio of Oregon acknowledged that add-ons for their districts would influence their decisions."

    Did anyone notice Bush used the pork in the bill as an excuse as to why he was going to veto it? The Dems just made Bush look like he carried the high road. Way to cede moral authority Dems.
