How can the Racist US Serve as an Impartial Broker?

      Posted by j1o2n3a4s5

the brutal slave trade, extermination of the Native Americans, subjugation of the Hispanics, mob lynching of Afro-Americans. In the 1920s, brutal racism became widespread amongst ordinary Americans, naturally groups like the Ku-Klux-Klan flourished throughout the US. Betrayal Of the Empire Or Fealty To Humanity? Confessions and Reflections of a Recovering White Middle Class Hegemon

      Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from CounterCurrents

“Here’s my non-alcoholic toast to the awakening of the masses to the moral depravity of the United States without the necessity of a catastrophic event, the arrest and imprisonment of the war criminals in the American and Israeli governments, the rise of a socio-economic system concerned with the welfare of the collective rather than the enrichment of a relatively few elites, the implementation of a political system that is truly by and for the people, the death of imperialism and Neoliberalism, access to health care and basic necessities for Earth’s 6.5 billion human beings, the implosion of the obscenely corrupt American Duopoly, the extinction of environmental abuse, and the end of United States financial and military aid which enables Israeli crimes against humanity.”

    • ACLU: sheriff's hairstyle comment racist

Posted by Billbar from Times Picayune

Follow-up on the Louisiana racist sheriff story. Targeting people based on hairstyles common among blacks is "overtly racist" and a civil rights violation, the Louisiana ACLU said in a two-page open letter dated Wednesday and signed by attorney Katie Schwartzmann. "Sheriff Strain, surely we do not have to tell you that it is lawful to walk the street, and it is further lawful to wear one's hair any way deemed appropriate," Schwartzmann wrote.

Community Organizing, the White Supremacist Way

      Posted by Billbar from Alternet

In some ways, the migration of radical hate to the Internet and the use of grassroots networks was inevitable. The internet gave birth to a media culture that largely targets niche markets. Although racist electronic bulletin boards have been around since the mid-'80s, the first major website was Stormfront set up in 1995 by a former Ku-Klux Klan member. What is significant about the new sites, though, is that they do not only spread political messages but also effectively organize online communities.

      Posted by j1o2n3a4s5 from gnn.tv
