      I hate hand-guns. Shot-guns are made for hunting game (wild animals), which is necessary to help keep populations in check to prevent over-population, which can cause serious eco-damage, including leading to the extinction of numerous different species. But hand-guns are made for one purpose: killing humans.

      Significant news that Microsoft has overtaken Johnson & Johnson and topped the Reputation Quotient survey. The research was done before the Vista debacle but it doesn't matter anyway. Respondents were more interested in the philanthropy of Bill Gates than in whether Microsoft's products were any good.

      Some surprises in the latest breakdown of the world's best corporate citizens. The list prepared by the Reputation Institute, which based its findings of a survey 30,000 citizens around the world has Wal-Mart right at the top, followed by McDonalds and Microsoft. Studies like this show up some of the problems with corporate social responsibility.
