    • Scheer: Condi Rice - More Sordid Than Foley

      Posted by Billbar from Alternet

Call me old school, but I am still more concerned with the Republicans molesting Lady Liberty while pretending to be guarding the nation's security, an assignment that they have totally botched. The news about the Foley cover-up, while important as yet another example of extreme hypocrisy on the part of the Republican virtues police, should not be allowed to obscure the latest evidence of administration deceit as to its egregious ineptness in protecting the nation. Surely lying under oath in what was arguably the most important official investigation in the nation's history should be treated more seriously than the evasiveness in the Paula Jones case that got President Bill Clinton impeached.

    • TP Muckraker Asks Why 9-11 Commission Omitted Key CIA Briefing

      Posted by Jeff from Tpmmuckraker

"It's clear that the commission knew (about the Tenet briefing). Even if they didn't read Time magazine, even if they didn't search for news clips before digging in, they received a detailed briefing -- staffers as well as Ben-Veniste. To date, no one has explained why the meeting wasn't mentioned in the final report. Why not?"

    • 9/11 Commission saw the 'scary' briefing of 2001

Posted by Jeff from REal Cities

From TalkingPointsMemo: "Former CIA Director George Tenet presented the briefing to commission member Richard Ben Veniste and executive director Philip Zelikow in secret testimony at CIA headquarters on Jan. 28, 2004, said three former senior agency officials. Tenet raised the matter himself, displayed slides from a Power Point presentation that he and other officials had given to then-national security adviser Condoleezza Rice on July 10, 2001, and offered to testify on the matter in public if the commission asked him to, they said." And Condi is repeating her denials...

      Sen. Clinton disputes Rice's comments

Posted by Billbar from Seattle Post-Intelligencer

"I think my husband did a great job in demonstrating that Democrats are not going to take these attacks," Hillary Clinton said Tuesday. "I'm certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled 'Bin Laden Determined To Attack Inside the United States' he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team."

2001 memo to Rice contradicts statements about Clinton, Pakistan

      Posted by Jeff from Rawstory

Rice is Busted: However, RAW STORY has found that just five days after President George W. Bush was sworn into office, a memo from counter-terrorism expert Richard A. Clarke to Rice included the 2000 document, "Strategy for Eliminating the Threat from the Jihadist Networks of al-Qida: Status and Prospects." This document devotes over 2 of its 13 pages of material to specifically addressing strategies for securing Pakistan's cooperation in airstrikes against al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Rice says Clinton did not leave plans to fight al Qaeda

      Posted by Billbar from Reuters

In a heated interview aired on "Fox News Sunday," former President Bill Clinton said he had "battle plans" drawn to go into Afghanistan, overthrow the Taliban and launch a full-scale search for bin Laden. "We were not left a comprehensive strategy to fight al Qaeda," Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a transcript of her comments released by the State Department. "For instance, big pieces were missing, like an approach to Pakistan that might work, because without Pakistan you weren't going to get Afghanistan," Rice said.

what’s more, there is paper proof contrary to all of her claims. These people have no business running a country. They should be in prison.

She’s lying. Richard Clarke confirms she’s lying.
