Russia denies giving Iraq info on U.S.

      Posted by Billbar from MSNBC

“Similar, baseless accusations concerning Russia’s intelligence have been made more than once,” Interfax quoted Foreign Intelligence Service spokesman Boris Labusov as saying. “We don’t consider it necessary to comment on such fabrications.” Uh-huh.

Posted by Billbar from BBC News

Russia provided Saddam Hussein with intelligence on US military moves in the opening days of the US-led invasion in 2003. A Pentagon report said one piece of intelligence passed on was false, and had had in fact helped a key US deception effort.

    • Russia's Shadow Empire

Posted by Billbar from Washington Post

Since the Cold War ended, Russian leaders have built a shadow empire on the territories of Russia's sovereign neighbors, extending Russian power where it is unwarranted and unwelcome by sponsoring "frozen conflicts" in southeastern Europe and the South Caucasus.

U.S. to rely on Russia for manned spaceflight - International Herald Tribune

McCain denounced Russia as a KGB run state and has called to oust Russia from the G8. How will this partnership be affected if he gets voted in?

    Communists are great !

Don’t you think the fight is perfectly similar with the Korean War in 1951 between China and America ?!  Just a kind of self-protection. Much better than the invaders!

The real guy who needs to stay where they belong is the one who should  GET AWAY FROM IRAQ  right now !!!

Russia, Georgia troops battle on border

I imagine, in a more advanced VR environment, they might animate a different, less stressful outcome.  Like they could animate a brightly colored spray of candy or presents instead of sharpnel and body parts parts strewn about the blast site.  Maybe a little, "atta boy," or "outstanding" followed by canned cheering from a studio audience when a particularly good strike is executed.

This scenario of positively re-enforcing the kill could ease the pain of human slaughter and give a real sense of total accomplishment.  The possibilities are endless.  I wonder if drone pilots get better VA benefits than the rest of the "combat" vets do?
