      Posted by theangryindian from Angryindian.blogspot

Information Liberation: According to NBC's chief Pentagon correspondent, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said that his "interest is to hit Saddam Hussein" just hours after the attacks on September 11, 2001, "even though all indications pointed at al-Qaida as the guilty party," a Rhode Island newspaper reports. At the annual Business Expo at the Rhode Island Convention Center Tuesday, NBC's Jim Miklaszewski "advanced a theme garnering attention since former CIA director George J. Tene

As Saddam Hussein awaits execution I can’t help looking back at 2006 and feel that it should be remembered as the year for Global Justice. Tyrants like Pinochet, Milosevic and Saddam finally met their fates. While one took his crimes to the grave others like Hussein are hours away of facing the Tribunals’decision.

Accused of paying bribes to Saddam Hussein, executives from Australian wheat export agency AWB could face charges under anti-terror laws, but what about those footprints left by the Australian Government? AWB associates have also been linked to the Bush administration.

    Saddam Hussein executed

Paul, for me it’s about coming face to face with our government’s (and our tax dollars) funded activities. I feel disgusted by this execution – in part because it’s just another failure of George Bush to see the difference between justice and injustice, democracy and chaos. Whatever you think of Sadaam, he faced hanging bravely – and the hooded masks of the executioners made them look like cowards. All in all – I see this whole event as another failure of U.S. imperialism. Good for Haliburton and none of us.

    Saddam Hussein executed

I don’t see this as a victory. Admittedly, this man was a horrible monster. His sons were low-rent criminals. But, I think we could raise the bar a little and maybe show we’re more civilized.
I don’t feel bad that he’s gone. But. I feel bad.

As an American I take no satisfaction in the execution of someone who didn’t receive a fair trial.
