    • Details still emerging in Palin clothing dispute

Posted by Jeff from Seattle Times

Sarah Palin left the national stage Wednesday, but controversy flared as aides to John McCain disclosed new details about her wardrobe purchases and revealed a Republican Party lawyer would be dispatched to Alaska to inventory and retrieve the clothes still in her possession. Tensions have simmered between aides loyal to McCain and those loyal to Palin, but they erupted in the wake of the Republican nominee's defeat, as both sides spoke freely - but anonymously.

The Book of Sarah (Palin) - Who Built Sarah's House?

Posted by Jeff from Village Voice

Todd Palin told Fox News that he built the two-story, 3,450-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath, wood house himself, with the help of contractors he described as "buddies." As mayor, Sarah Palin blocked an effort to require the filing of building permits in the wide-open city, and there is no public record of who the "buddies" were. The house was built very near the complex, on a site whose city purchase led to years of unsuccessful litigation and, now, $1.3 million in additional costs, with a law firm that's also donated to Palin collecting costly fees from the city.

David Brooks: Sarah Palin a Fatal Cancer

Posted by Jeff from Huffington Post

Brooks anti-anti-intellectualism: "there has been a counter, more populist tradition, which is not only to scorn liberal ideas but to scorn ideas entirely. And I'm afraid that Sarah Palin has those prejudices. I think President Bush has those prejudices."

    • Conservatives Call for Palin to Step Down

      Posted by Jeff from Politicalticker.blogs.cnn

Prominent conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, an early supporter of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, said Friday recent interviews have shown the Alaska governor is "out of her league" and should leave the GOP presidential ticket for the good of the party. The criticism in Parker's Friday column is the latest in a recent string of negative assessments toward the McCain-Palin candidacy from prominent conservatives.

    • Free Sarah Palin from witches? Does Muthee make Wright look tame?

      Posted by Jeff from MSNBC

Sept. 24: A video has resurfaced of Sarah Palin's witch obsessed pastor, Rev. Thomas Muthee, praying over her at church and asking God to let her win her gubernatorial bid. Syndicated columnist Clarence Page discusses the disturbing video in comparison to Barack Obama's pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his comments and the press reaction then. Apparently, witch hunts in Kenya have led to many innocent women being killed.

Palin had asked to give her own concession speech but was refused. She is the best thing that may ever happen to this country – let’s hope she takes over the Republican base – making it impossible for any one else to ever win its nomination.

It’s time for Palin to step down. McCain has made a mistake. She does not have foreign diplomacy experience. Period.

She’s gonna be there for the debate. Her only shot is to just repeat that she can see Russia from anywhere she stands…period. And because of that…she can annihilate them with her anti-bad guy nuclear eyeballs

I was just thinking today that McCain might have to fire her, but instead I think they’ll just try to weasel her out of the VP debate:
