The Bosnian war crimes court found three Serb ex-soldiers not guilty of war crimes charges this week, and sentenced a fourth to just seven years, sparking outrage from victims' groups. The four men on trial were military policemen serving with the Bosnian Serb forces which in July 1995 seized the town of Srebrenica, a United Nations-protected enclave, and killed around 8,000 Bosniak men and boys sheltering there.

The Bosnian Serb Mladen Blagojevic is responsible for abusing and killing Bosnian civilians in Srebrenica in 1995. Blagojevic (39) was found guilty of participating in widespread and systematic attacks by the Serbian army against Bosnian civilians during Srebrenica genocide.
Two Srebrenica Genocide Fugitives Arrested

Bosnian police today arrested two Bosnian Serb wartime commanders suspected of taking part in genocide against Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) in Srebrenica in July 1995, a police statement said. The State Protection and Investigative Agency arrested Momir Peles, 59, and Slavko Peric, 61, in the eastern town of Zvornik, where they had served as the Zvornik brigade 1st battalion's deputy commander and an assistant commander.

The U.N. Security Council Resolution 819 demanded Serbia and Montenegro (Yugoslavia) to take measures to prevent Srebrenica genocide and cease the supply of military arms, equipment and services to the Bosnian Serbs.
Yugoslav Gen Momcilo Perisic on Trial for Srebrenica Genocide

Momcilo Perisic - who commanded the VJ (Yugoslav Army) at the time of the Sarajevo siege, as well as the Srebrenica genocide in July 1995 - is standing trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity, including persecution, murder and extermination of civilians in Bosnia and Croatia between 1993 and 1995. He is accused of aiding and abetting the deliberate killing and wounding of thousands of Sarajevo civilians in sniper attacks, artillery and mortar shelling.

The New York based "Jasenovac Research Institute" is a Serbian nationalist-run organization which describes itself as "committed to establishing the truth about the Holocaust in Yugoslavia and dedicated to the search for justice for its victims." However, Bosniak Muslim victims (including women and children) of Jasenovac are conveniently ignored by their research. The people behind the Jasenovac Research Institute deny the Srebrenica genocide and celebrate Slobodan Milosevic.
