  It got me to thinking. Why do we speak the same language differently? The shades of drawl even in this town are distinct. After living 15 years in Dunedin, listening to a lot of familiar New Yorkese, I found these accents to be colorful and charmin', darlins'.

  This sounds really disgusting - evidently South Park was right: Cyrus didn't imagine the photos looking so provocative either. The images were snapped by the legendary Annie Leibowitz, and according to a magazine source, "Cyrus felt that she was in eminently good hands."

  LONDON: Nelson Mandela paid tribute to the anti-apartheid struggle Wednesday as Britain's prime minister pulled a rainbow-striped veil from a statue in the South African's honor and lionized him as one of the best-loved statesmen of all time. Speaking to thousands of supporters as African hymns echoed from the walls of Westminster Abbey, the 89-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner said the statue was a tribute he could only dare to have dreamed of.

- Shock Troops and Demonstrators Clash Over Bush Visit

  The confrontation between protesters and shock troops on Avenida Paulista, at the center of São Paulo, has already left at least 23 people injured. The protest against the United States President, George W. Bush, and his visit to Brazil brought together at least six thousand people this Thursday afternoon (Mar. 8) and closed part of the avenue.
