The phrase doesn’t make any sense, and it wasn’t supposed to. 18 year old high school senior Joseph Frederick unfurled the 14 foot banner on a public sidewalk across the street from the high school during a non-school event. High school administrator Deborah Morse confiscated the banner and suspended Frederick for “advocating drug use” evidently in view of other high school students.

Last week, a couple were threatened with fines of $25 a day by their homeowners' association unless they removed a four-foot wreath shaped like a peace symbol from the front of their house. To often stories of this nature fail to get noticed. It is hard to believe that things like this are still occuring in 2008.

Obama still fired up, ready to go

I’m a precinct captain for Obama’s campaign in Nevada. He’s going to do well here. I think Hillary got a pass in NH. It won’t be so easy from here on in.

True enough. I can’t help but see Hilllary’s ever-changing (and potentially dishonest) tactics alienating all of the other current candidates if they haven’t already. If/when Edwards AND Kucinich (especially Kucinich) bow out I’m pretty sure both would advocate that their suporters take to the Obama camp – especially because doing so increases their favourability to wind up in prominent roles in Obama’s administration.
