- American military deaths soar as US extends its 'surge' in Iraq

  Twenty one US soldiers were killed in Iraq between Thursday and Sunday of last week. Their deaths brought the total number of US military deaths since the war began in March of 2003 to 3,422, according to iCasualties.org, an independent web site that tracks military deaths. Other estimates place the death count at near 4,000.

- Suicide attack kills 121 in Iraq

  A suicide truck bomber struck a market in a predominantly Shiite area of Baghdad on Saturday, killing 121 people among the crowd buying food for evening meals, police and hospital officials said. The death toll made the attack one of the deadliest single bombings in the capital since the 2003 U.S.-led war.

  He keep’s on gambling, saying to friends, all I need is one more chance, I’m hot, I can feel it this time, I know I can win. Eventually, if he’s lucky, his friends drag him out of the casino, cutting his losses. Compare that to President as he seeks to gamble with more of his own people's lives

Say what you will about Bush, he managed to take an election defeat in November and loss of both houses of Congress into complete control over the course with which he wants to pursue in Iraq.
