    • Software company Entellium's CEO, financial officer charged with wire fraud

Posted by Jeff from Seattle Times

Using the inflated revenue figures, the company was able to attract $50 million in private investments, including $19 million from Ignition, a Bellevue-based venture capital firm. Ignition's partners have said they never would have invested that much money had they known Entellium's actual earnings. The complaint alleges that in 2006 Johnston and Jones told Entellium's board of directors - which includes two Ignition partners - that the company had revenue of nearly $4 million.

    • U.S. to rely on Russia for manned spaceflight - International Herald Tribune

Posted by okami from International Herald Tribune

STAR CITY, Russia: This place was once no place, a secret military base northeast of Moscow that did not show up on maps. The Soviet Union trained its astronauts here to fight on the highest battlefield of the Cold War: space.

Yet these days, Star City is the place for America's hard-won orbital partnership with Russia, where astronauts train to fly aboard Soyuz spacecraft. And in two years, according to the Bush administration's plans, Star City will be the only place for sending astronauts from any nation to the International Space Station.

    • European standoff over search engine data - International Herald Tribune

Posted by okami from International Herald Tribune

BERLIN: For more than a year, European data privacy officials have been battling with U.S. Internet search engines, trying to get them to conform to European restrictions on the storage of personal information gleaned from the Web.

Now, as the U.S. titans Google, Microsoft and Yahoo continue to retain personal data beyond the six-month time limit established this year by the European Commission, regulators say their patience is running thin.

    • 35% of BlackBerry users would choose their PDA over their spouse

      Posted by Shemuses from Economist

A NEW survey conducted for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts finds that over a third of smart phone users would pick their BlackBerry over their significant other if they absolutely had to choose one to live without. Gulliver has covered PDA addiction before, noting that users show signs of addiction "similar to alcoholics", but this survey result has to represent some sort of new low. The 35% number wasn't the only depressing survey result, but if you're a heavy CrackBerry user, you already know the rest.

U.S. to rely on Russia for manned spaceflight - International Herald Tribune

McCain denounced Russia as a KGB run state and has called to oust Russia from the G8. How will this partnership be affected if he gets voted in?

    Nail Fungus Treatment

    http://www.nailfungustreatment.skincareproductshop.com/

Nail fungus can be difficult to treat, and repeated infections are common. Over-the-counter antifungal nail creams and ointments are available, but they aren’t very effective.
