Posted by theangryindian from Live Science

Regardless of marital status, income or church attendance, right-wing individuals reported greater life satisfaction and well-being than left-wingers, the new study found. The Decline and Fall of Quality on Digg

      Posted by Jeff from Readwriteweb

Fueled partly by a need to counter false accusations from disgruntled community members who claim that Digg is rigged (i.e. that a core group of users decide what content is promoted), partly by the desire to encourage non-core members to participate more passionately, and partly by a need to affect a level of diversity and equality that would appear promising to potential acquirers, Digg has changed its algorithm again and again.

911 tragedy in Calgary reveals perils of VoIP

Posted by Shemuses from Globe and Mail

An ambulance was dispatched in response to a 911 call about a toddler in distress, but the Internet phone service said paramedics went to the address it had on file - a home in Mississauga - not the new home in Calgary where the distraught family waited in vain for help. The child died before an ambulance sent to the right place could get him to hospital Tuesday night.

It’s a great site to visit if you don’t mind the occasional terrorist propaganda piece.

The huff is the site that actually ridiculed the Bush administration for catching the Ft Dix six before they carried out their plans. I’m not exagerating or taking anything out of context. They posted a piece that actually chastised the admin for preventing an attack.

I am biased...but I find her site to be fairly sensationalized (headlines exaggerated often) and the bloggers too self-aggrandized.

Black Accountability Project: DNC Color Divide

Yeah, especially if you are meaning still working within your political system although we don’t want to.  I can think of several.

You could start with the U.S. must offically apologising for American Aboriginal genocide and than make the necessary changes to the educational system to wash out the colonial propaganda clotting American hearts and minds.  Second, ALL of First Nations-U.S. are to be honoured and without undue delay.  Next, the United States is to offically apologise for chattle slavery, genocide and systematic institutional racial bias.  The U.S. must then return full sovereignty to Puerto Rico, Guam, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines and promise to not try and re-take the island of Cuba.

Following all that there would need to be a restructuring of the entire political system and the acceptance of multiple parties including revamping the voting system without the Electoral College.

Without the former list of suggestions, the latter half is only cosmetic.  Just my opinion.
