      Sanjak is a small region in Serbia and Montenegro where Bosniaks make up majority. Since 1992, this tiny population of 200,000 Bosniaks has been subjected to Serbian terrorist attacks and the government sponsored Serbian terrorism and widespread human rights violations. Thousands of people have been killed or missing, many women raped, and many Bosniak villages were ethnically cleansed.

      The "terrorist" watch list now has more than one million names. Do you feel safer now? Since February we've been tracking the size of our government's list of ostensible terrorist suspects, which according to the government's own report (pdf) has been rising at a rate of 20,000 per month.

      The litany of complaints about the legal treatment of prisoners at Guantánamo Bay is long, disturbing and by now familiar. Nonetheless, a new wave of shock and criticism greeted the Pentagon's announcement on February 11 that it was charging six Guantánamo detainees, including alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, with war crimes - and seeking the death penalty for all of them.

    Seems a bit odd that the worlds media didn’t jump on this news, given that this whole era of ‘the war on terror’ is alledgedly down to this one individual.

    Isn’t this the definition of McCarthyism? I mean at one million names, that’s probably a pretty good chance that we’re all in the midst of alleged terrorists.

    Still, if this can cut down the number of people flying, I’m all for it.
