      America's fastest train could compete with air travel. Flying from Anaheim, Calif., to Vegas on a passenger jet cruising at about 550 mph could cost upward of $150, while a ticket for the same route on a maglev would cost $55, according to the American Magline Group.

    Too bad that 45m is paltry for a train that is supposed to run 250 miles.  In Japan the maglev trains cost approximately 30m per mile.  So 30m x 250 miles = 7.5b… I don’t think 45m is going to do much…
