    • My Unwitting Role in the Rove 'Scoop'

Posted by Billbar from Washington Post

The May 13 story on the Web site Truthout.org was explosive: Presidential adviser Karl Rove had been indicted by Special Counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald in connection with his role in leaking CIA officer Valerie Plame's name to the media, it blared. The report set off hysteria on the Internet, and the mainstream media scrambled to nail it down. Only . . . it wasn't true.

    • Pardon talk for Libby begins

      Posted by Billbar from Newsday

Now that top White House aide Karl Rove is off the hook in the CIA leak probe, President George W. Bush must weigh whether to pardon former vice presidential aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the only one indicted in the three-year investigation. "I think ultimately, of course, there are going to be pardons," said Joseph diGenova, a former prosecutor and an old Washington hand who shares that view with many pundits.

    • Possible civil suit against Rove

      Posted by Billbar from Salon

[Former ambassador Joseph] Wilson has talked before about the possibility of filing a civil lawsuit against Rove and others involved in leaking his wife's identity, but he's said he would wait for Patrick Fitzgerald to finish his work first. Now that Fitzgerald appears to be finished, at least with Rove, the attorney for Wilson and his wife, Valerie Plame, seems to be hinting that such a suit may be in the works.

If this is true, it's an important piece of the puzzle. -- And that Novak has been lying.

    Plame sues Cheney, Rove, Libby

Joseph Wilson made it clear a while ago that they would be doing this. I'm glad to see it happen, though.
