In a world where might did not make right, George W. Bush, Tony Blair and their key enablers would be in shackles before a war crimes tribunal at the Hague, rather than sitting in the White House, 10 Downing Street or some other comfortable environs in Washington and London.

Russia, Georgia troops battle on border

I imagine, in a more advanced VR environment, they might animate a different, less stressful outcome.  Like they could animate a brightly colored spray of candy or presents instead of sharpnel and body parts parts strewn about the blast site.  Maybe a little, "atta boy," or "outstanding" followed by canned cheering from a studio audience when a particularly good strike is executed.

This scenario of positively re-enforcing the kill could ease the pain of human slaughter and give a real sense of total accomplishment.  The possibilities are endless.  I wonder if drone pilots get better VA benefits than the rest of the "combat" vets do?

If Betancourt’s assertions are true, then the United States is once again responsible (at least in part) for the setting up of false ‘heroic rescues’ and similar phenomena.

We should not forget that intitial reports from Iraq claimed that Kurdish forces captured Saddam Hussein, who then turned him over to Coalition forces.

Neither should we forget the Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch affairs.
