    • Attackers Exploit New Zero-Day Windows Bug

      Posted by bugeats from Cyberdogbiscuits.blogspot

"By default, Internet Explorer automatically opens the vulnerable Windows Picture and Fax Viewer application to display WMF files, making that browser the riskiest to use. But it's not the only threatened browser: Mozilla Corp.'s Firefox, for instance, defaults to the same application, as does Opera, although users must acknowledge a dialog box before opening the image." So, it's a browser exploit. crap.

New Apple ads savage Microsoft's $300m Windows campaign

yes those are great commercials Vista does suck old nasty sweaty balls because it tried to DRM trap it’s users and offers very sub par experience and performance

but i would never use a Mac.  it is an even more abhorent monopoly using the same hardware and overpriced. i will format them to XP for friends though.

Apple should be careful – those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. I have been an Apple devotee for decades, but the quality of their products and customer service has slipped considerably in the last few years. I only have to count the number of dead iPods and botch-fixed Shuffles littering my house to remind me that Apple hasn’t put the same amount of care and customer-focused consideration into its recent product lines. Arrogant Apple, rather than the old-school Affable Apple seems to be the order of the day. Strikes me that it will be the sort of cheap-shot ad that comes back to haunt them in times to come.

Netflix unveils instant viewing - for Windows only

Umm, its an applet, so why the hell won’t it run on any devices that supports the proper JVM? Anyone know what the limitation is?

Not sure I buy into the idea that something is doomed just because it’s Windows-only (for now).
